Why We Developed Nanomite™ |
Nanomite Optical start to develop Nanomite™ Lens after realizing the danger of Infrared Light, Blue Light and Ultraviolet Lights to our eyes as a result of the consequences of ozone depletion, global warming and global environment. |
1.Ozone depletion |
Ozone layer is a belt of naturally occurring ozone gas that sits above Earth and serves as a protection from harmful Infrared, Blue light and Ultraviolet radiation emitted by the sun.
Recent depletion of this protective layer has increased the Infrared, Blue Light and Ultraviolet lights reaching the earth. Exposure to higher amounts of Infrared, Blue light and Ultraviolet lights would cause more cataracts, blindness and other eye diseases. |
2.Global warming |
Over the last few centuries, greenhouse gases are trapping more heat in the Earth's atmosphere, which is causing average temperatures to rise all over the world. An increase in average temperatures worldwide implies more heat in the form of Infrared will expose to our eyes.
If too much infrared light is absorbed, the eye tissues will be burn thus causing damage to the retina. |
3.Global Environment |
With our current environment most of the thermal radiation emitted by objects such as light bulb, heat lamp or other heat objects near room temperatures is Infrared.
Strong infrared radiation in certain industries is harmful to the eyes. This may result in damage of the retina or blindness to the user.
The continuous and worsening of ozone depletion, global warming and global environment have directly increase thermal radiation, and thus place the important of lenses which can reduce the infrared light to protect our eyes from retina damage. |
