BIRTH OF NANOMITE™ LENS |

After years of experiment and understanding the danger of Blue Light and Infrared, Nanomite Optical have successfully developed Nanomite™ Lens that combat against the most dangerous visible and none visible light wavelength which includes infrared light, blue light and ultraviolet light. |

INFRARED is known to be none visible light and is what we receive as heat. Human eyes do not registered to recognise infrared light thus causes many side effects that reflects to the eyes. The protein in the human eye lens can absorb infrared light. If it is in large number, it will affect the sediments of the protein and may cause the accumulation of higher temperature in the photoreceptor cells. The longer the irradiation time is, the more the heat might burn the eyes surface and thus causes cataracts and retinopathy. |

BLUE light may cause oxidative damage to the eyes, and may play an integral role in causing age-related macular degeneration, which can lead to significant vision loss. Blue light has a very short wavelength and is detectable by the human eye. Not only does it provide basic illumination to our world, blue light also helps to increase feelings of well being. But exposure to large amounts of blue light can be harmful to the eyes. |

ULTRAVIOLET light are invisible and have shorter wavelengths than visible light (UVA, UVB). The danger of UVA penetrates more deeply into the body and maybe more likely to reach the lens. Thus UV light has long been suspected and well know that exposure to ultraviolet light from the sun can also increase the risk of cataract and other eye conditions. Study shows that UV light can damage lens proteins in a distinct way (called glycation) that is typically seen in cataract. |
